I was raised in BROOKLYN, NY..Where all the Black, Spanish and white families stuck together. Where everyone would speak like they knew ya and even the less fortunate looked out for you. We played outside in every season and ate summer lunches at the public schools, went swimming in public pools. A place where the concrete was perfect for skating, bike riding, double dutch, hopscotch, kickball, basketball, red light green light, mother may I, spin the bottle and run, catch and kiss and runny benches.Where we played manhunt, hold the world, steal the bacon and many other games that engaged our imagination.
